Let's be real

networking has gotten superficial

It became more about the flash than about real people sharing their truth and helping each other the best they could.

We’re tired of it, so we made something else. Something where you can actually be a person first. A place where "synergy," "democratizing access," and "disrupting" won't make you sound smarter or look better.

A place where you can meet lifelong friends, leave the pretension at the door, and be who you are without forcing connections.

CARDS AGAINST NETWORKING

Things I got out of that last networking night:

1.png

A tote bag, mild social anxiety, and zero follow-ups.

My startup pitch was going great until __________.

he asked, “So what’s your valuation?” mid-sip.

I knew I’d regret going to that panel when they opened with __________.

a 47-slide PowerPoint and a TED Talk voice.

Networking tip: If someone says “circle back,” they really mean __________.

1.png

“Please forget I exist.”

What happened after he said, “I love your energy”?

1.png

He left with my business card and my dignity.

We bonded over a shared passion for __________.

pretending to love networking.

Why we're different

networking meets stand-up

Make your embarrassing, awkward entrepreneur stories become someone's inspiration. Find strength in each other's losses. Let loose. Take things lightly for a change! You're safe!

Someone once told me my company won't be anything after I said no to going on a date with him.

I broke down during the umpteenth pitch meeting because I was burning out while my cofounders left me for a better offer.
